College Admissions Officers May Be Checking Your Facebook Profile, But You Don't Need to Panic

With a new year comes an old idea...

This idea is far from new, but since we are using more and more technology than ever, we decided to revive an old concept.  The UMBC Upward Bound program staff will keep a blog to assist the remainder of the class of 2011 and future Upward Bound classes with their college admissions process.

On this blog will be scholarship opportunities, helpful information for buying textbooks, learning to budget, course selection tips, etc.  The key to this blog is its longevity.  Students in future years will be able (for as long as the blog exists) to access the entries and use the information they contain to success.
